Floralia's fourth step is once again 'all true, all invented'. The 2002 psynchronic equinox exposed by the music of 16 groups proceeding from various parts of the planet, by Matteo Guarnaccia's fantastic art and by the co-production of the independent labels Mizmaze (Milano, Italy) and WoT4 (Dedemsvaart, Holland).
Floralia was the name of certain pagan rites celebrated by ancient Italian people as a tribute to the goddess Flora, the symbol of spring, the fairy of magical changes through all things blooming. This primeval festival's inspirational thrust, right in the middle of the most colourful moment of a natural cycle, unfolds through the kaleidoscopic vision of a few recent underground explorers' aural discoveries. And like a vibrating hopping of pollen dust, this fecund migration takes 'expansounds' on board including unreleased or otherwise unavailable songs. A collective project, a communication pathway, the perfumed contribution to a music in motion, beyond the barriers of time, geography and style.
